Brian Vickers posted the single fastest lap in Darlington's Practice 1, with a speed of 174.167 mph, which makes him a frontrunner to earn his third pole of the season.
Our View: His average speed of 165.340 during 42 laps, however, was well down the grid and he will need to pick up the pace in Happy Hour if he wants to be considered a favorite for the race.
