F1: Compromise in the offing, Mosley stepping down

One moth ago, Max Mosley arrogantly proclaimed there would be "no compromise" with Formula 1 teams. Now it appears the salary cap rule has been all but scrapped and Mosley has agreed not to seek reelection as FIA's president next year, according to AutoRacingDaily.com.

Our View: This will keep FOTA—the Formula 1 drivers association—from forming a breakaway league.
