Brian Vickers swept the pole at Michigan, taking the top spot in both the Cup and Nationwide Series. This is a feat that has not been accomplished since Kurt Busch did it in 2006 at Watkins Glen International.
Our View Vickers may just be the new "Rocketman." This was his sixth pole of the season, his third consecutive pole at Michigan (dating back to last fall), and his third straight pole on two-mile tracks (he also won at Auto Club Speedway this spring.
After winning his two poles on two-mile tracks this year, he's swept the top 10.
